Saint Nick's “Thanks-Gifting” is a multi-week Holiday Food Drive benefiting the Cuba & Wauconda Township Food Pantries.

Our Community is “Thanks-Gifting”

Join the holiday effort to replenish the shelves of our local food pantries.

Give the gift of a meal from Saturday, November 15th until Saturday, December 20th by dropping off food donations at participating locations.

Look for these posters across Cuba & Wauconda Townships this Holiday season.

Local businesses and government offices displaying a poster are serving as a “Thanks-Gifting” Food Drive drop off location.

Be sure to thank the businesses and offices listed below, for their generous support of our neighbors in need!

Needed Food Drive Items:

  • Bisquick Baking Mix

  • Broths including Beef, Chicken, and Vegetable

  • Canned Chicken, Salmon, Spam and Tuna

  • Canned meals including, Chili (mild), Stew, Ravioli, Spaghettios, and Pork & Beans

  • Canned oranges or mixed fruits

  • Cereals

  • Jello and Pudding

  • Pasta including Regular, Whole Wheat Pasta, and Gluten Free

  • Pasta Sauce with Meat or Cheese

  • Peanut Butter and Almond Butter

  • Plain Oatmeal (quick or old-fashioned)

  • Rice (white, brown, or instant) – 1 pound bags preferred

  • Soups including Vegetable, Chicken Noodle, and Cream of Chicken, and any Chunky Soups

  • Snacks including Cookies, Crackers, Almonds, Dried Fruit, Granola Bars, Potato Chips

  • Strawberry Jam

  • Tomatoes – whole, crushed, stewed or paste

  • Liquid Laundry Detergent – 37 ounce size preferred

  • Liquid Dishwashing Detergent

  • Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, and Kleenex

  • Shampoo and Toothpaste

Saint Nick's friends from the Wauconda Fire Department and the Barrington Countryside Fire Department will fill their trucks with your food donations and deliver them to their respective township food pantries.
